About Us
WELCOME to WeCanEduTech. Our mission is to provide comprehensive resources showcasing the latest technologies used in education. We hope that our resources will inspire you to create technology-enhanced learning environments that will motivate your learners to engage, innovate, and design.
My name is Jason Matthew. I am a learning experience designer at a university. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and our students had to stay home, we faced the enormous challenge of finding ways to teach remotely. This transition had to be quick, efficient, and seamless. Fortunately, there were technologies available to us to facilitate this. Not to say that it was an easy task to do so. Far from it. But after a few sleepless nights, we were able to get our educators to teach remotely.
That’s when it dawned on me that my university had an entire team dedicated to help and support educators during this transition. But what about educators who did not have that support structure.
So, I decided to offer a free Zoom training session to show any interested educators how they could use Zoom and Google Drive to teach remotely. Three hundred participants attended the session, and it inspired me to do more.
And so, WeCanEduTech was created.
I know that using technology can be intimidating for some. But I hope that the resources we provide at WeCanEduTech will help you overcome those fears, and you will realize that it is not difficult to learn how to use technology in education and I dare say it might even be fun to do so.

Hi, my name is Jason Matthew. I am the founder and owner of WeCanEduTech. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about us.
If you are visiting this site, then you also share my love for teaching and learning. I have mostly taught at the tertiary level. I have served as the first examiner for undergraduate courses, which means that I was responsible for managing the assessments of those courses. I have taught online, blended, and face-to-face. Some of my classes ranged in size from the easy to manage twenty-five to the behemoth three hundred plus students. YIKES! I have taught young adults and not so young adults. After teaching biochemistry (might come as a surprise) for a few years, I decided to pursue studies in learning experience design, which I am now a professional practitioner.
I love sharing and constructing knowledge with others, and I am always open to networking with people with similar philosophies. Through WeCanEduTech, I plan to create and make freely available resources that can help you. And should you like what we do and want a more customized service, we are also here for you.
When I am not thinking of taking over the world, I mean trying to improve teaching and learning, you can find me in the garden or just chilling out with my beautiful wife Kristy and adventurous son Ethan.
